Trinity Music City christianpress.comTrinity Music City in Hendersonville, Tennessee, has put up the Christmas lights and transforming into Trinity Christmas City through the first week in January. Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) has been operating Trinity Music City since 1994.  They purchased the property of Country Music legend Conway Twitty after his death, which was formerly operated as the tourist attraction Twitty City.

The attraction has many features, including a soundstage for taping TBN programming, a reproduction of the Via Dolorosa, Memorial Gardens, and a Virtual Reality Theater currently featuring a one-hour edited version of One Night with the King.  There is also a gift shop and the Solid Rock Bistro.

VR Manager Tammy Barati said that many people drive through each year to see the Christmas light display.  Over 1 million lights are used to light up the 30 acre property every year beginning October 31st.  Drive through tours are available until midnight each night, but Barati said a great way to enjoy the lights is by walking through the Memorial Gardens, which are open until 10pm nightly.  The lights come on each evening at 5pm.

There are also some special events leading up to Christmas.  The last TBN program to tape for this year will be on Tuesday evening at 7pm.  The musical program will feature Jason Crabb, SonicFlood, Selah, and Phil Keaggy.

On Saturday December 12th from 5pm to 7pm, and Sunday December 20th from 3:30pm to 5:30pm there will be an open house featuring carolers in the mansion, walk through tours of the gardens, and Wassail and cookies for refreshments.

Barati said the Christmas display brings people from many states, both for the beauty of the display as well as those who remember Twitty City fondly and enjoy touring the property.

All the activities at Trinity Music City are offered free, with a suggested donation.  Tours of the property are available Tuesday through Saturday 11am to 6pm and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm.
