BANGLADESH (ANS) -- A Gospel for Asia leader in Bangladesh narrowly escaped with his life when he was caught up in a violent clash between two warring ethnic groups. The leader was picking his children up from school on February 24 when he was caught up in one of the riots. He was able to return home unharmed, but he is asking for prayer for the country. The ethnic tensions reignited February 23, resulting in at least 15 deaths and dozens of homes being burned to the ground in Chittagong Hill Tracts in southeastern Bangladesh.

KARNATAKA, INDIA (ANS) -- Two Christian believers in Karwar were brutally attacked recently. They suffered severe head injuries and broken limbs in the assault. According to a story published on the website of the Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC), David Lambani, 25, and Satish, 34, areĀ members of the New Life Fellowship Church.

KALLUR KOT, PAKISTAN (ANS) -- Compass Direct News (CDN) is reporting that the four older Muslim brothers of a 26-year-old Christian beat him unconscious in Kallur Kot town, Pakistan, earlier this month because he refused their enticements to convert to Islam.

Information has reached Open Doors that Christians have been killed in various places in Mosul, Iraq this morning. In a cry of distress, an Open Doors co-worker reported: "Christians are being targeted inside their own homes and killed. Several have been killed in front of the last check point before leaving Mosul while the Kurdish and Arab security forces were watching."
