Limbaugh issued a statement confirming that he has joined Checketts' effort to buy the NFL franchise from Chip Rosenbloom and Lucia Rodriguez, the son and daughter of the Rams' late owner, Georgia Frontiere, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Forbes magazine estimates the NFL's St. Louis Rams to be worth $929 million. However, Limbaugh, who made controversial comments in 2003 about Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, would say no more due to a confidentiality agreement made with Goldman Sachs. "Dave and I are part of a bid to buy the Rams and we are continuing the process. But I can say no more because of a confidentiality clause in our agreement with Goldman Sachs. We cannot and will not talk about our partners. But if we prevail we will be the operators of the team." According to OpenSecret, as a team, coaches, players and employees of the St. Louis Rams have donated a combined 98% to Democrats, while only 2% going to Republicans. Some would say an odd formula for Limbaugh. According to broadcasting industry analyst Brian Maloney, Limbaugh had "blockbuster success" in some key cities, including Los Angeles -- home to the number one radio station in the country. Limbaugh's faithful followers call themselves "Dittoheads."

The St. Louis Rams football stadium could soon be filled with "Dittoheads" if Rush Limlaugh has it his way. Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said late Monday evening he is joining St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts in a bid to buy the Rams, owners of the NFL's longest losing streak at 14 and just 5-31 since 2007.
